Can someone tell me the meaning behind this quote?
Never say goodbye because saying goodbye means going away, and going away means forgetting
It's from Peter Pan and I really really love it, but I just thought about it properly and it doesn't completely make sense to me. Going away doesn't have to mean forgetting? I'm probably sounding really ignorant and stupid here but I basically was thinking of it as a tattoo along with an image of peter pan to describe the death of my little sister, cos she always loved peter pan and i kinda believe she's like peter pan now. so yeah i'd love it as a tattoo but now i'm thinking i don't quite understand it.
I agree that this quote, in its entirety,would not be appropriate for memorializing your sister via a tattoo, because it does say that saying goodbye means forgetting, and I'm sure that's not the message you're trying to convey.
